The team that has came out with great apps for Android such as the Go Launcher and Go SMS has recently released a new Beta called the Go LaucherEX Locker. Basically, you can have your own custom lock screen from the options that they have...
That way, you won't have to have a regular lock screen like this one that is on my Droid Charge:
